Fardad Farokhi is an assistant professor of biomedical engineering at Islamic Azad University, Central Tehran Branch. Farokhi holds a BSc in electrical engineering (electronics) from K. N. Toosi University of Technology, an MSc in the same field from Islamic Azad University, South Tehran Branch, and a PhD in biomedical engineering from Islamic Azad University, Science and Research Branch. Farokhi chaired the branch’s electronic engineering department (2009–2014) and biomedical engineering department (2014–2016). Research by Farokhi applies machine learning to EEG and ECG-derived signals, speech emotion recognition and medical image analysis.
